Sales: Account Manager

Carlisle Technology has specialized in food plant-floor hardware and software solutions for over 30 years. Our systems have been implemented in food processing plants of all sizes across North America. Carlisle Technology’s Symphony Software provides 360-degree visibility into food production and plant operations. 

About the role:

Our Sales team plays a key role in enhancing our brand, acquiring new customers, generating revenue, and supporting customers. The team requires a results-oriented, technology-savvy individual to grow into an Account Manager role. 

This is a ground floor opportunity, where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to grow into an Account Manager role. The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships and maintaining existing accounts as well as qualifying leads from marketing activities. The Account Manager will be opening, presenting, quoting, closing, and supporting new accounts. The Account Manager reports to the Senior Account Manager/Marketing Manager.

What you bring:

  • Post-Secondary degree or diploma (preferably in Marketing OR Information Technology)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A keen interest in technology solutions sales 
  • Time management skills to efficiently balance responsibilities
  • Resourcefulness and creativity to describe solutions to solve customer issues
  • 1+ years’ experience in customer service or sales (IT/tech sales preferred) 
  • An aptitude to quickly grasp customer requirements
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

What you will do:

  • Work closely with the Senior Account Manager/Marketing Manager to understand the sales process
  • Shadow sales team members to gain customer knowledge 
  • Qualify assigned new leads 
  • Prospect for new sales opportunities within the existing customer base 
  • Develop strong relationships with new clients
  • Understand the customer’s technical and purchasing organizations
  • Visualize and effectively communicate solutions to address customer needs
  • Present Carlisle Technology’s solutions to prospects, after the training period
  • Generate quotes and proposals with the Senior Account Manager’s guidance 
  • Handling own sales accounts from qualifying opportunity to closing the order
